The web editors that are the easiest for people like me to use are known as WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). That means we can type in what we expect to see on our web pages and it will look exactly the same when published.

It is possible to download free web editors by carrying out a simple web search. There are numerous free ones out there! There are also many free tutorial web sites on the internet that you can learn from. I can show you where to get a great web editor for free.

To start off, you can either design and make your own website or simply choose from a vast array of ready made templates - which are  also available for free on the internet. Frontpage has many web page templates to choose from. I have 100 free web templates available for you.

It isn't necessary that you understand the website programming language known as HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language). There are however, a few lines of code that you may wish to use in order for your web page to be found on the search engines. These are known as Meta tags.

You can choose to use a free web host if you wish, just to get you started. There are a few good web hosts on the Internet that are free. Again, just do a quick search and you'll find plenty. I can direct you to the right ones.

You will find that using a ready made free website template is a great way to learn. You can play about with them and re-edit the content as well as changing things like fonts, colour, font size, background colour etc.

Once you are quite confident at creating a web page, you can then progress further by adding additional web pages and linking them to your home page to form a website. Believe me, it's a very easy process and you will get proficient in no time at all!
